RED RIVER PLAYBOYS BAND BIOGRAPHY
|

| The Red River Playboys are a collection of seasoned musicians with an average of 30 years playing experience in various genres. The Playboys is the brainchild of guitarist Michael "T-Mike" Long and accordionist Pat "Frenchy" Mason, both from Shreveport, LA. The duo has been part of the Louisiana music scene since the early 70's, and are experienced in the diverse musical heritage of Louisiana, including Cajun/Zydeco, Swamp Pop, Country Rock, and R&B. | Rounding out the the mix are bassist Larry Gordy and drummer Ron Whitaker, both from Shreveport, who are top notch musicians in their own individual right. The Playboys also are fortunate to have on hand Danny Ross, well known Texas troubadour keyboardist from Fort Worth, Texas, and fiddlers Kent "Papa Leger" Gill from Sugartown, LA., and Choya "Snap Bean" Crenshaw of Keithville, LA. (Pat`s cousin). |
